  • Returning Patients: If it’s been over 6 months or you have a new issue, choose “Follow-Up Extended Visit.”

Payment and Insurance Details

  • Private Insurance: My services are covered by all private insurance companies. Documentation will be provided for you to claim reimbursement.
  • While direct billing is not available for private insurance, I encourage you to take advantage of credit card points by paying for your treatment directly.
  • ICBC Claims: I directly bill ICBC for your active claim.
  • Please be aware that I am currently unable to accept WorkSafeBC cases.

Marcel Miura Registered Physiotherapist

Marcel Miura, originally from Brazil, graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas in 2008. His passion for physiotherapy led him beyond borders to Canada, where he became a Registered Physiotherapist in 2016. Marcel founded Connecta Physio in North Vancouver and is also a team member at Jericho Physio in Kitsilano.

With extensive experience across multiple clinical settings, Marcel understands the interconnected nature of the human body. He recognizes that a dysfunction in one system can affect others. His treatment approach primarily involves Fascial Counterstrain, a modern hands-on manual therapy. This technique has shown significant benefits in treating a wide range of injuries. Marcel has a keen interest in managing chronic conditions affecting the lower back, shoulders, neck, and in treating sports-related injuries. He is dedicated to collaborating with the community, empowering his patients towards healthier lifestyles.

Outside of work, Marcel enjoys daily workouts, spending time with his wife, and their puppy, Josie.
