📌 Fee Update – Effective September 1, 2025

Please note that as of September 1, there will be a $5 increase to each session type:

Initial Assessment & Treatment (45 min): $150

Follow-Up (45 min): $150

Follow-Up (30 min): $105

This is my first fee adjustment since March 2023. The update reflects my continued investment in advanced training in the US, increased operational costs, and my growing experience in the field.

I remain committed to providing high-quality, personalized care in a comfortable and supportive environment.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. While we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, we do ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. Otherwise, the full appointment fee will apply.

If you need an appointment sooner due to urgent pain or injury, you can add yourself to the waitlist through the Jane app with your preferred days/times. Alternatively, feel free to text me directly at 604-816-4574. We’ll do our best to accommodate you as cancellations or reschedules happen.

  • Extended Health Benefits: My services are covered by all private insurance companies. Documentation will be provided for you to claim reimbursement.

  • I am currently not accepting WorkSafeBC or ICBC claims.

Marcel Miura Registered Physiotherapist

Marcel Miura is a physiotherapist with a distinctive approach that has made him the go-to expert for patients who haven’t found relief with standard therapy methods. Originally from Brazil, Marcel graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas in 2008 and became a Registered Physiotherapist in Canada in 2016.

Marcel’s practice is distinguished by his use of Fascial Counterstrain, a gentle, hands-on manual therapy that addresses the body’s interconnected systems. This approach has attracted high-profile clients, including professional athletes and celebrities in pain and discomfort, to come under his care.

In addition to Fascial Counterstrain, Marcel integrates Dry Needling, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Neuromeningeal Manipulation and Muscle Energy Technique into his treatment plans, further enhancing his ability to cater to the specific needs of each client.

His approach is particularly valued by those who require a comprehensive, whole-body treatment strategy, whether they are managing chronic conditions, recovering from sports-related injuries, or seeking to maintain an active lifestyle despite aging or comorbidities.
